Free Agency started yesterday, so a lot of news has been coming out lately!
Here’s all of the big signings, trades, and extensions from today:
Free Agency:
Myles Turner has agreed to a four-year, $107M deal with the Milwaukee Bucks! Turner has played his whole 10 year career with the Indiana Pacers up until now. He averaged 16 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 blocks for the Pacers this past season.
The Milwaukee Bucks have waived 9x all-star Damian Lillard! His teammate and former MVP Giannis is reportedly not happy about this decision. Lillard averaged 25 points, 7 assists, and 4 rebounds for the Bucks before getting injured this past season.
Dennis Shroder has agreed to a three-year, $45M deal with the Sacramento Kings. He averaged 13 points, 5 assists, and 3 rebounds for the Pistons this past season.
Duncan Robinson has agreed to a three-year, $48M deal with the Detroit Pistons. Robinson is considered a very good shooter and has played his whole career with the Miami Heat up until now.
Tim Hardaway Jr. has agreed to a one-year deal with the Denver Nuggets. Hardaway averaged 11 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists for the Pistons this past season.
Guerschon Yabusele has agreed to a two-year $12M contract with the New York Knicks. He averaged 11 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists for the 76ers this past season.
Trades:
The Sacramento Kings are trading Jonas Valanciunas to the Denver Nuggets for Dario Saric.
Extensions:
MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has agreed to a four-year, $285 million super max contract extension with the Oklahoma City Thunder. This is the largest annual salary for a player in NBA history, with an average annual value of $71.25M
Jakob Poetl has agreed on a four-year, $104M extension with the Toronto Raptors.
