83 POINTS FOR BAM ADEBAYO!

Bam Adebayo just scored 83 points in a single game. That's the 2nd most in NBA history!

He surpasses Kobe Bryant's 81-point mark, which was set in 2006.

NBA's ALL-TIME record for points in a single game:

1. Wilt Chamberlain: 100 points

2 . Bam Adebayo: 83 points

3. Kobe Bryant: 81 points

Obviously, this means he also broke the Heat franchise record for points in a game, surpassing Lebron James' 61 points.

Bam Adebayo's stats tonight:

83 Points (2nd highest in NBA history)

9 Rebounds

3 Assists

2 Steals

2 Blocks

46.5% Shooting (20/43)

83.7% on free throws (36/43 - NBA record for free-throw attempts in a game)

5 Turnovers

Before tonight, Bam Adebayo's career-high was 41 points. Tonight, he scored 31 points in just the first quarter! (Miami Heat franchise record) He scored 43 in just the first half. Then nearly doubled that. 83 points in the game. Insane!

Watch Bam score his 83rd point of the night here:

I will say the Heat were up by a lot in the 4th quarter, when Bam would normally be out of the game, but they left him in and gave him the ball every possession, including what looked like purposely missing free throws to try to give him extra possessions to score.

He ended up shooting 43 free throws, which is kind of crazy. (the most ever in a game) Most people will probably still say that Kobe's 81 points were more impressive, as he shot way more efficiently and also had over 20 fewer free-throw attempts than Bam.

Still a legendary night for Bam, and a game that will go down in history.

That's all for now, folks! ✌️
