Quentin Grimes has been playing some very good basketball lately! Here's some more about him:
NBA Career
The LA Clippers drafted Grimes with the 25th pick in the 2021 NBA Draft and traded him to the Knicks right after.
He played his first 3 seasons with the Knicks and was a solid player for the team, mostly known for his 3-pointers and defense. He averaged 9 Points, 3 Rebounds, 2 Assists, and 1 steal in about 24 minutes per game.
On February 8, 2024, the Knicks traded away Grimes and a few other players to the Detroit Pistons for Bojan Bogdanović and Alec Burks.
Then on July 6, 2024, Grimes was traded to the Dallas Mavericks in exchange for Tim Hardaway Jr.
Surely he won't be traded a 4th time. That's where you're wrong. On February 4, 2025, Grimes was traded to the Philadelphia 76ers for Caleb Martin.
76ers
So why am I writing about this guy? Well, this is where things get exciting for him.
He has been playing really well for the 76ers so far.
In his time with the team so far he is averaging:
21.4 Points
5.5 Rebounds
3.8 Assists
1.5 Steals
51% of shots made
Yes, those are very solid stats, but that's not all!
In his last 10 games he is averaging an amazing:
28.6 Points
5.6 Rebounds
4.6 Assists
2.1 Steals
54% of shots made
Wow! Those are very good stats!
One of the main reasons that Grimes has had great stats this season is because a lot of the 76ers' best players like Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey, Paul Geroge, and Jared McCain have all been injured a lot of this season, so he has gotten a chance to play a lot more.
This also just goes to show how good a lot of players who don't get that much playing time really are.
Most fans probably think of Grimes as just a solid bench player, but now that he has gotten more playing time and a chance to start games he is able to show how good he really is.
that's all for now folks ✌️
all star in a few
Very inspiring!
